Later's social media plans cost $18.75 (Starter), $37.50 (Growth) and $82.50 (Scale) a month billed yearly. Paying monthly costs a third more: $25, $50 and $110, since yearly billing is 25% off. There is no free plan, but each plan has a 14-day free trial with no card. Prices are in US dollars, and tax is extra.
Starter suits one person with one set of profiles and light AI use (5 credits a month). Growth is the plan most small teams need: it adds a second user, the social inbox, approvals and 50 AI credits. Scale is for agencies or brands that need 6 sets of profiles, competitor benchmarking and listening features.

Is there a free plan?
Later has no free plan. It retired its old free tier, and every plan now starts with a 14-day free trial that does not need a credit card. During the trial you can test Caption Writer, Ideas, Best Time to Post and the Visual Planner. If you need a free scheduler for Instagram and TikTok, Buffer has a free plan for 3 channels, and Planoly's mobile app has a free tier with 10 uploads a month.

Later is good value for visual brands that post mostly to Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest. Growth, at $450 a year, gives two people 16 profiles, the social inbox, approvals and 50 AI credits a month, which is less than half a month of one Hootsuite seat.
It is poor value if AI writing is a big part of your workflow, because credits are small and Starter cannot buy more, or if you need X. In that case Buffer's Essentials plan, with unlimited AI Assistant use, can cost less. - Nonprofits: qualified nonprofits get 50% off the annual Growth plan, which works out at $18.75 a month ($225 a year).
Later's influencer marketing services and creator affiliate products are priced separately through its sales team.
- Compare Growth plus add-ons with Scale before upgrading: four extra social sets on Growth (4 x $11.25) bring it to $82.50 a month, the same as Scale, which also adds 2 more users and competitor tools.
- If you need more AI, buy 100 extra credits for $3.75 a month on Growth instead of moving to Scale for 50 more.
- Plan the month before loading Starter's calendar: the 30-post limit per profile counts posts when you schedule them, not when they go out.
- Nonprofits should apply for the 50% Growth discount before paying: it brings Growth down to the Starter price.
- Cancel from a desktop browser well before renewal; a Trustpilot reviewer reports that cancelling only works on desktop.
