Wispr Flow Pricing (2026): Free, Pro and Team Plans
Wispr Flow's Free plan allows 2,000 words a week on desktop and 1,000 on mobile. Pro costs $15 per user a month, or $12 a month billed yearly ($144 a year), and removes the word limits. Growth costs $23 per user a month, or $18 billed yearly, and adds single sign-on and HIPAA enforcement for organisations. Enterprise is custom and billed yearly.
Most individuals only need Pro, and students and educators with an education email get 50% off. Teams that handle health data or need single sign-on should look at Growth.
Prices checked 25 September 2026 on Wispr Flow's official pricing page. Prices are in US dollars unless stated and can change at any time.

Is there a free plan?
The free plan gives 2,000 words a week of dictation on desktop and 1,000 on mobile, in 100+ languages, on all four platforms. It includes the personal dictionary and snippets, and limited Notetaker use with a weekly meeting cap (recordings under five minutes do not count). No credit card is needed. For comparison, 2,000 words is roughly four pages of text, so daily users will hit the limit within a few days.
What you will actually pay
Worked examples using the published prices above.
| Scenario | Cost | How we got there |
|---|---|---|
| Individual on Pro for a year | $144/year billed yearly, or $180/year monthly | $12 × 12 = $144. Paying monthly: $15 × 12 = $180. |
| Student or educator on Pro | $72/year | 50% off $144. The App Store lists an annual student plan at $72.00 and a monthly one at $7.49. |
| Team of 5 on Pro | $720/year billed yearly, or $900/year monthly | 5 × $12 × 12 = $720. Monthly: 5 × $15 × 12 = $900. |
| Clinic team of 5 needing a HIPAA BAA (Growth) | $1,080/year billed yearly, or $1,380/year monthly | 5 × $18 × 12 = $1,080. Monthly: 5 × $23 × 12 = $1,380. Notetaker is disabled on BAA accounts. |
Wispr Flow pricing compared with rivals
| Tool | Paid plans from | Free plan | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wispr Flow | $12/user/month billed yearly, or $15 monthly (Pro) | Yes: 2,000 words a week on desktop, 1,000 on mobile | The tool on this page |
| Superwhisper | $8.49/month (Pro) | Yes: unlimited local Whisper models, plus a 3,000-word Pro trial | Runs speech models on your own device; also offers yearly and lifetime licences. |
| Aqua Voice | $8/month billed yearly, or $10 monthly (Pro) | 1,000 free words | Cheaper unlimited dictation on Mac, Windows and iPhone; students get 70% off. |
| Willow | $12/user/month billed yearly, or $15 monthly (Pro) | Unlimited dictation on a weaker model | Same price as Flow, but the free plan has no word cap. |
| Typeless | $12/month billed yearly, or $30 monthly (Pro) | Limited words each week | Zero cloud data retention and apps for Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone and Android. |
| Monologue | $12/month billed yearly ($144/year), or $15 monthly | Trial: 1,000 dictation words and 10 notes | Apple-only (Mac, iPhone, iPad, Watch) with offline transcription; included in an Every subscription. |
Yes, if you dictate every day. At $12 a month billed yearly, Pro pays for itself if it saves you even a few minutes of typing a day, and it is the most polished cross-platform dictation app we have tried. The free plan is generous enough to find out.
It is poorer value if you dictate occasionally, if you only use a Mac (Superwhisper and Aqua cost less), or if you want a one-off purchase. Teams should budget for Growth only if they need SSO or HIPAA controls. Compare the options on our Wispr Flow alternatives page.
Discounts
Students and educators with an education email get 50% off Pro. Wispr also offers discounted Pro for nonprofits, and its Google Play listing mentions a 40% accessibility discount for users with disabilities and discounted pricing for seniors. Teams can create a Pro workspace with no minimum seat count and no upfront payment for invited members.
Web or App Store billing
You can subscribe in the Flow desktop app, on the website or through the iPhone App Store. The App Store lists Pro at $15.00 a month or $143.99 a year, a Pro weekly plan at $4.49, and student plans at $7.49 a month or $72.00 a year. Four weeks of the weekly plan cost $17.96, more than a month of Pro, so avoid it unless you need Flow for a single week.
- Use the free plan for a full week before paying. If you stay under 2,000 words on desktop, you may not need Pro at all.
- Pay yearly if you are sure: $144 a year against $180 when paying monthly.
- Students and teachers should sign up with an education email to get Pro for half price.
- Avoid the $4.49 App Store weekly plan for anything longer than a week. Four weeks cost more than a month of Pro.
- Teams without health data or SSO needs can stay on Pro, which already includes shared dictionaries, snippets and central billing.
Jargon explained
- Dictation
- Speaking instead of typing, with software turning your speech into text.
- Filler words
- Words like 'um', 'uh' and 'you know' that people say while thinking. Flow removes them automatically.
- Local (on-device) model
- A speech model that runs on your own computer or phone, so your audio does not leave the device.
- BAA
- Business Associate Agreement: a contract US healthcare organisations need before a vendor can handle patient data under HIPAA.
- MCP
- Model Context Protocol, a standard way for AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT to read data from other apps, like your meeting notes.
