Gamma Pricing (2026): Plans, Credits and Free Tier
Gamma's cheapest paid plan is Plus at $9 per seat a month, billed yearly ($108 a year). Pro is $18 a month ($216 a year) and Ultra is $90 a month ($1,080 a year). These are Gamma's US-dollar prices on yearly billing; monthly billing costs more, and Gamma says yearly saves up to 28%. The Free plan gives 400 credits once, at sign-up, and they do not refill. For companies, Business is $40 per member a month billed yearly, and Enterprise is priced by sales. Gamma shows local-currency prices in some countries, so your checkout price may differ.
Most people should start on Free, then move to Plus to remove Gamma branding and get 1,000 credits a month. Choose Pro if you need custom branding, analytics, custom domains or the API.
Prices checked 25 September 2026 on Gamma's official pricing page. Prices are in US dollars unless stated and can change at any time.

Is there a free plan?
Gamma Free gives you 400 AI credits once, when you sign up. They never refill, but you earn 200 more for each friend who joins, up to 2,000 in total. Free creates up to 10 slides per prompt, imports PDF and PPTX files and exports to PDF, PPTX, PNG and Google Slides, which is generous. Your work carries Gamma branding and uses basic image models. Using Gamma's published API credit rates as a guide, a 10-card deck with 5 basic images costs about 20 to 60 credits, so 400 credits cover roughly 6 to 20 simple decks.
What you will actually pay
Worked examples using the published prices above.
| Scenario | Cost | How we got there |
|---|---|---|
| Student or occasional user on Free | $0 | 400 one-time credits / about 20 to 60 credits per 10-card deck with 5 basic images = roughly 6 to 20 simple decks, once. |
| Freelance consultant on Plus | $108/year | $9 x 12 = $108. 1,000 credits a month covers about 16 to 50 simple 10-card decks (1,000 / 60 and 1,000 / 20), or 1 to 3 long 20-card documents with 15 premium images (about 320 to 1,070 credits each). |
| Team of 5 on Pro | $1,080/year | 5 seats x $216 = $1,080 billed yearly, with 4,000 credits per seat each month plus API access, custom branding and analytics. |
| Company of 5 on Business | $2,400/year | 5 members x $40 x 12 = $2,400 billed yearly, adding SSO and a locked AI training opt-out. |
Gamma pricing compared with rivals
| Tool | Paid plans from | Free plan | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gamma | $9/seat/month billed yearly (Plus) | Yes: 400 one-time AI credits | The tool on this page |
| Canva | US$144/year for Pro (US$18 billed monthly) | Yes: free editor with up to 20 AI uses a month | More manual design control; AI decks need more editing. |
| Beautiful.ai | $14.50/month billed yearly (Pro); $45 billed monthly | No: 14-day free trial | Smart layouts keep slides tidy, but no free plan. |
| Plus AI | $10/user/month billed yearly (Basic); $15 monthly | No: 7-day trial with 1,000 credits | Works inside Google Slides and PowerPoint, so there is no export step. |
| Claude for PowerPoint | $17/month billed yearly with Claude Pro ($20 monthly) | Not on Claude's free plan | Builds and edits real PowerPoint files using your slide master. |
| Presentations.ai | $20/month billed yearly ($240/year, Pro) | Yes: 100 credits, up to 20 slides | Pro is annual-only; PowerPoint export needs a paid plan. |
| Pitch | $13/month billed yearly (Plus) | Yes: free for 1 to 5 people | Collaborative, link-first decks with lighter AI. |
Gamma is one of the best-value AI tools in its category. Plus costs $108 a year, less than a year of Canva Pro (US$144), and 1,000 credits a month is plenty for someone making a few decks a week with standard images. The free plan is good enough to test it on real work, including PowerPoint and Google Slides export.
Value drops if you lean on premium or ultra image models, which can cost 34 to 125 credits per image, or if every deck needs a PowerPoint clean-up afterwards. Teams should compare Pro at $18 a seat with Claude for PowerPoint, which comes with a Claude Pro plan and works inside your own template.
Team, Business and Enterprise
Gamma sells three workspace options for organisations. Team is billed yearly only and seats are bought up front; Gamma did not show a US-dollar Team price on the pricing page we read, so ask for a quote. Business is self-serve at $40 per member a month billed yearly, with SSO, a locked AI training opt-out and 100 custom domains. Enterprise has custom pricing based on team size and credit needs, with SCIM provisioning, audit logs, invoiced billing and priority support.
Credit rules to know
- Paid credits refill monthly, even on yearly plans (they are issued each month, not all at once).
- Unused plan credits roll over up to twice your monthly amount; Plus can hold up to 2,000.
- Purchased credits are tracked separately and do not count toward that cap.
- If you cancel, you keep paid features and credits until the end of the billing period, then move to Free.
- For API users, Gamma recommends switching on auto-recharge so generations do not fail when credits run out.
- Pay yearly if you will use Gamma for more than a few months: Gamma says it saves up to 28% on monthly billing.
- Stay on Free until you hit a real limit. 400 credits is enough for several simple decks, and Free already exports to PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Pick standard image models for internal decks. At 2 to 15 credits per image they cost a fraction of premium models (34 to 75).
- Test the plan hard in the first 3 days: that is the only refund window, and it closes early if you pass the credit threshold (200 credits on Plus).
- When someone leaves your workspace, reduce the seat count by hand in billing settings. Removing the member alone does not lower the bill.
Jargon explained
- Card
- Gamma's version of a slide. Cards can grow to fit their content, which is why they do not always match fixed PowerPoint slides.
- Credits
- Gamma's AI currency. Generating decks, rewriting text and creating images each use some credits.
- Slide master
- The PowerPoint file that sets a company's fonts, colours and layouts for every slide.
- Effort level
- A per-generation setting (Lite, Standard or Max) that trades speed and credit use against quality.
- SSO (single sign-on)
- Logging in to a tool with your company account, managed by IT, instead of a separate password.

How many credits does a Gamma presentation use?
It depends on length, effort level and images. Gamma's docs estimate about 20 to 60 credits for a 10-card deck with 5 basic images, and about 320 to 1,070 for a 20-card document with 15 premium images.
