Zendesk Pricing (2026): Plans, AI Resolutions and Copilot
Zendesk's cheapest plan is Support Team at $19 per agent a month billed yearly, or $25 paying monthly, for email ticketing only. Suite Team, which adds live chat, messaging, voice, a help center and AI agents, costs $55 per agent a month yearly ($69 monthly). The most popular plan, Suite Professional, costs $115 yearly ($149 monthly). Suite Enterprise + Copilot is priced by sales. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial.
AI costs sit on top. AI agents come with every plan and include 5, 10 or 15 automated resolutions per agent per month (Team, Professional, Enterprise). Beyond that you pay per resolution at a rate Zendesk does not publish; third-party guides report about $1.50 on committed packs and $2.00 pay-as-you-go. Copilot, the assistant for human agents, costs $50 per agent a month billed yearly.
Prices are in US dollars, before tax, from Zendesk's pricing page as of 25 September 2026. Zendesk also bills in EUR, GBP and BRL.

Is there a free plan?
Zendesk has no free plan. You get a 14-day free trial with every feature of Suite Professional, and Copilot is switched on by default; other add-ons need a request to sales. Zendesk's Copilot page says no credit card is needed. Eligible early-stage startups can apply to Zendesk for Startups, which the pricing page describes as a six-month free trial of the Suite for up to 50 agents. After the trial, the cheapest option is Support Team at $19 per agent a month billed yearly.
What you will actually pay
Worked examples using the published prices above.
| Scenario | Cost | How we got there |
|---|---|---|
| 3-person email support team on Support Team | $684/year on annual billing; $900/year paying monthly | Annual: 3 x $19 = $57 a month, x 12 = $684. Monthly: 3 x $25 = $75 a month, x 12 = $900. Includes 3 x 5 = 15 automated resolutions a month. |
| 5-agent team on Suite Team (chat, messaging, phone and AI agents) | $3,300/year on annual billing; $4,140/year paying monthly | Annual: 5 x $55 = $275 a month, x 12 = $3,300. Monthly: 5 x $69 = $345 a month, x 12 = $4,140. Includes 5 x 5 = 25 automated resolutions a month. |
| 10 agents on Suite Professional with Copilot for everyone | $19,800/year | 10 x ($115 + $50) = $1,650 a month, x 12 = $19,800 on annual billing. Includes 10 x 10 = 100 automated resolutions a month. |
| 10 agents on Suite Professional whose AI agents resolve 600 conversations a month | About $1,900 to $2,150 a month | Seats: 10 x $115 = $1,150. Resolutions: 600 - 100 included = 500 extra. At the third-party reported rates, 500 x $1.50 = $750 (committed) or 500 x $2.00 = $1,000 (pay-as-you-go). Total $1,900 to $2,150 a month. Zendesk does not publish these rates, so confirm yours. |
Zendesk pricing compared with rivals
| Tool | Paid plans from | Free plan | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zendesk | $19/agent/month billed annually (Support Team); $25 paid monthly | No: 14-day free trial of Suite Professional | The tool on this page |
| Intercom | $29/seat/month billed annually (Essential) + $0.99 per Fin outcome | No: 14-day free trial | $39 a seat paying monthly. Fin can also run on top of Zendesk at $0.99 per outcome with a 50-outcome monthly minimum. |
| Freshdesk | $19/agent/month billed annually (Growth); $23 monthly | No free-forever plan: 14-day trial, plus a 6-month Free Program for up to 2 agents | Freddy AI Agent includes 500 one-time sessions, then $49 per 100. Copilot is $29 per agent on Pro and Enterprise. |
| HubSpot Service Hub | $7/seat/month billed annually (Starter offer; $20 list) | Yes: up to 2 users | The Customer Agent costs about $0.50 per resolved conversation but needs Service Hub Professional ($90 a seat yearly plus $1,500 onboarding). |
| Help Scout | $25/user/month billed annually (Standard) | Yes: 5 users, 1 inbox, 1 Docs site | AI Answers costs a published $0.75 per resolution, with a three-month free trial. |
| Gorgias | $10/month (Starter, 50 tickets, monthly only) | No: free trial | Priced by ticket volume, not per agent. AI Agent costs $0.85 to $1.00 per automated interaction depending on plan. |
| Salesforce Service Cloud | $25/user/month (Starter Suite) | Yes: Free Suite for 2 users | Service Cloud Core is $195 a user billed annually. Agentforce costs $2 per conversation or Flex Credits. |
Zendesk is fair value for multi-channel support teams that pay yearly, and expensive for small teams or anyone paying monthly. Suite Team at $55 per agent a month gives chat, messaging, phone, a help center and AI agents in one product, and a five-agent team pays $3,300 a year.
The value drops as you add AI. A 10-agent Suite Professional team pays $13,800 a year for seats, $19,800 with Copilot, and then per-resolution fees that Zendesk will not publish. By comparison, Intercom's Fin publishes $0.99 per outcome and Help Scout's AI Answers $0.75 per resolution. If you already run Zendesk, its AI agents are the simplest path; if you are choosing from scratch, get a written per-resolution quote first. See our Zendesk alternatives for cheaper options.

How automated resolution billing works
- Allowance: each agent seat adds 5 (Team), 10 (Professional) or 15 (Enterprise) automated resolutions a month, up to 10,000 a year. Unused resolutions expire at the end of each contract year.
- What counts: since 18 May 2026, only verified resolutions are billed. Conversations the AI hands to a person, and those it finishes without verification, are free.
- Beyond the allowance: buy committed packs of 100 or more in advance, which Zendesk says cost less per resolution, or pay as you go, billed monthly. You can also pause the AI agent when the allowance runs out.
Example: a 20-agent Suite Professional team gets 20 x 10 = 200 resolutions a month. If its AI agent resolves 1,000, the extra 800 cost about $1,200 (at $1.50) to $1,600 (at $2.00), using third-party reported rates.
Support plans, Employee Service and startups
Zendesk's main pricing page shows only Support Team from its Support line; larger Support plans are available through sales. The same page has a separate view for Employee Service plans, used for internal IT and HR help desks, and for its contact center product. Eligible startups can apply to Zendesk for Startups for free Suite access, and Zendesk says annual and multi-year contracts can carry further discounts through sales.
- Pay yearly if you can. Suite Professional drops from $149 to $115 per agent, which saves $4,080 a year on a 10-agent team.
- Ask sales for your committed and pay-as-you-go per-resolution rates in writing before you sign, since they are not published.
- Turn on the setting that pauses AI agents at your allowance for the first month, then size a committed pack from real data.
- Buy Copilot for your highest-volume agents only and review usage after 90 days before adding more seats.
- Use light agents for managers, engineers and finance staff who only need to read tickets and leave private notes.
Jargon explained
- Agent (seat)
- A person on your team who answers tickets. Zendesk charges a monthly price for each one.
- Automated resolution
- A customer conversation that Zendesk's AI agent closes without a human stepping in. It is the unit Zendesk uses to bill AI agents.
- Copilot
- Zendesk's AI assistant for human agents. It suggests replies and next steps and sorts tickets by intent and sentiment.
- Light agent
- A limited user who can read tickets and add private notes but cannot reply to customers, so they do not need a full seat.
- Omnichannel routing
- Automatic assignment of tickets from email, chat, messaging and phone to the best available agent, based on status, skills and workload.
